Design and Construction

These quaint homes embrace 3 styles of traditional Coastal architectural: Colonial Revival, Shingle, and Arts and Crafts.  Careful consideration has been given to the exterior details on these New England inspired homes.

Some of the exterior architectural details that nod north to Nantucket are as follows:

  • Swooping gambrels
  • Expansive porches
  • Oxeye windows
  • Eyebrow dormers
  • Pergolas over garage doors

Designer exterior palettes were carefully selected to capture this relaxed, coastal feel reminiscent of Nantucket inspired retreats.  Shades of neutral, gray, and blue toned Hardi Plank siding paired with a variety of coastal hued accent front door colors remind homeowners that their home is a staycation.

Homeowners may opt to have custom-designed paver patios for their enjoyment and outdoor living.

Amenities and Gardens:

On the grounds of this coastal community, homeowners will find a lovely Bayville Pines memorial park. This community is built on the site of the

beloved Bayville Pines School, a local institution that leaves a legacy in education and many, many wonderful memories.  The park features a lovely bronze statue surrounded by engraved pavers, park benches, and Hawthorne trees.

In addition to the Memorial Park, homeowners can retreat to other parks within this community:

  • Beautifully stained “organic” pergola adjacent to Leaping Lizard Café
  • Elegant classically inspired ramada and benches at Lake Joyce Park
  • Lush center lawn

The grounds and gardens at Bayville at Lake Joyce feature diverse trees, shrubs, and perennials designed to promote a healthy environment.  Homeowners will find Live Oaks, Eastern Redbuds, Dwarf Magnolias, Red Cedars, and a harmonious variety of shrubs and wildflowers.

A multitude of rain gardens and bio-retention beds have been included to capture rain water.  A variety of native plants line these basins to assist in filtering storm water and provide food and shelter for birds and butterflies.
